If you don’t drink enough water, then this would probably change your perspective

Water is a very important part of our systems. As a matter of fact, water is utilized in everything from our cells, tissues, organs, and systems; it ultimately helps regulate and normalize temperature in all of our bodies. This is why whenever we get caught by rain, the next best thing to do is to drink water right away. The human body is made of 2/3 water; therefore, our bodies would not make it if we do not have enough levels of it within seventy-two (72) hours. But do you know that your body acts up when it tells you that you need to drink more water? Why is water important in our systems?

Other than the fact that it composes more than half of our whole bodies, it’s also the only natural drink we have. Everything in our body uses water from our cells to our organ systems. So, without water, our bodies won’t be able to function properly. Everything we do, we lose water levels. When we talk, we eat, when we walk; literally everything that we do consumes water.

If you have a vice say if you drink or you smoke, your body releases double the water levels. Water is literally everything; it helps us with digestion, it helps us function properly, it even helps us fall asleep. Now, do you understand why doctors tell us to drink more water?

Here are some of the things that water help us with:

  • It helps us balance body fluids.
  • Promotes digestion.
  • It keeps the skin hydrated and looking young.
  • Regulates and maintain body temperature.
  • It helps control calorie intake.
  • Serves as a protection for tissues, the spinal cord, and some joints.
  • Lubrication of the eyes and joints

Now, here are some of the warning signs that our bodies give us that simply mean that we need more water in our system:

Weakness and fatigue

Insufficient amounts of water in the brain can lead to very low blood pressure. If you think that you’re getting enough levels of Iron and you sleep enough, then you shouldn’t be having this. Another thing that might be causing this is that your brain is not getting enough oxygen; or your body is not getting enough levels of oxygen in the body. This then will lead to the fact that your body has insufficient water.

Not having enough water in the body can cause you to feel dry and weak. Because water is the most abundant thing in our bodies, insufficient amounts of water can retard the transport of nutrients throughout the body.

Dry skin and dry lips

Another hint that you’re not drinking enough water is that you have dry skin. You sweat less, you produce less dirt, and you feel like your lips are dry could be a sign that you don’t have enough water levels in your body.

Water is a good antioxidant as it ultimately flushes dirt and toxins out of the body. If you drink more water, then you will have higher chances of having a clean body free from toxins which will then lead to your skin glowing.

Dry mouth and bad breath

Water is a good natural breath freshener. Ever wonder why people gargle warm water when they wake up? Gargling warm water alone can eliminate bacteria that rooted in your mouth while you were sleeping. Since you’re excreting less saliva when you’re asleep, bacteria can munch up inside your mouth.

What is the single thing you do when you know that you’re constipated? Yes, you drink water. One of water’s main functions is to help with digestion; loss of fluids in the body can cause your stool to harden. However, drinking too much water can cause it to become liquid. So what do you have to do? Drink more water but not to the point that you’re choking and that you’re bloated; just drink the right amount.

Hypertension, accelerated heartbeats, and high blood pressure

All of these things can actually be minimized if you just drink more water. As mentioned above, water is an excellent lubricant to help you in maintaining a healthy body. The lack of water inside the body can lead to thicker and more viscous blood and can decrease the volume of plasma which makes it thin. Therefore, leads to improper circulation and an accelerated heartbeat.

The Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of your urinary system. The main cause of this is that you’re consuming too much salty food but not drinking enough water. If you tend to see that your urine is darker in color, you need to have a sip of water ASAP. In addition to that, the “pee” feeling comes around 5 – 9 times a day. If your urge to pee is less than 5 times a day, then toxins might stay around your body so long that it can house on your body and invade cells and organs.

If you start feeling the pain when you pee, visit your physician immediately to try and resolve it without undergoing surgery.

Drinking more water is not that difficult. In fact, you can formulate a goal or a plan in order for you to ensure that you drink at least 10 – 12 glasses of water a day. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms without connecting it to something concrete, you need to start drinking water as soon as possible.

Drink more water, have fewer visits to the doctor, and be on top of your health!
