The Top 10 schools that received the highest ranking for hiring were announced on Thursday, June 29 by the online job search engine JobStreet by SEEK, citing the findings of its most recent survey.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), University of the Philippines (UP), and De La Salle University (DLSU), took the top three spots, respectively.

The University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Mapua University, Batangas State University, University of Mindanao, University of Cebu, Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), and STI College also made it to the spot.

“PUP again was able to retain its top position as to where most employers source their candidates,” it said.

Additionally, JobStreet by SEEK provided a breakdown of how the aforementioned colleges ranked in various industries.

It was discovered that PUP, UP, and Mapua University are the top three colleges for hiring in the information technology industry.

Graduates from PUP, UP, and the University of Mindanao are most frequently preferred by employers in human resources (HR) management.

The majority of graduates from PUP, UP, and UST are hired by hiring managers in the BPO sector.

Graduates from PUP, Batangas State University, and UP frequently stand out in the interview process for manufacturing jobs.

The best chances of finding work in the construction business go to graduates of the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), TIP, and Mapua University.

While this is the case, employers in the wholesale trading industry prefer to utilize PUP, UP, and University of the East (UE) graduates.

Over 700 companies from 42 different industries participated in the JobStreet study in the Philippines in May.

Well, JobStreet’s list of the top 10 schools preferred by Philippine hirers highlights the importance of education in the hiring process and sheds light on the institutions that are producing graduates highly sought after by employers.

This ranking serves as a valuable resource for both job seekers and employers, providing insight into the schools that consistently produce competent and qualified graduates.

The presence of these schools on the list indicates that they have established a strong reputation for academic excellence and have equipped their students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields.

Employers recognize the value of graduates from these institutions, considering them as reliable sources of talent.

Furthermore, this list emphasizes the significance of industry relevance and practical experience in the job market.

The schools that have made it to the top 10 have likely prioritized programs that incorporate real-world applications, internships, and industry partnerships.

This approach ensures that their graduates are equipped with the skills and experience that employers actively seek, enabling them to seamlessly transition into the workforce.

For job seekers, this ranking offers valuable guidance on which schools to consider for their education, as it highlights the institutions that have a proven track record of success in terms of employability.

It serves as a helpful reference point for making informed decisions about higher education and career paths.

However, it is essential to note that while the top 10 schools on JobStreet’s list may enjoy a positive reputation among hirers, it does not diminish the potential and capabilities of graduates from other institutions.

Numerous factors contribute to an individual’s employability, including skills, experience, and personal qualities, which may vary from person to person.
