Stray Dog Refuses to be Saved, They Followed It, And They Can’t Believe That This Happened

Ever ran across a stray dog that has appropriate texture and discipline? Not the stray dogs you see in movies that bark their way up but the stray dogs you definitely know that are abandoned? What would you do if you encounter one?

Dan O’ Grady was driving along the highway and noticed that a dog, an abandoned dog on the side of the highway. He exited the freeway and immediately tried to drive to the location of the dog with the hopes of it being still there.

When Dan approached the lone and abandoned Jack Russell Terrier, it kept barking and barking and Dan thought that it didn’t want to be approached. The dog then lead Dan into the woods leaving Dan curious and wondering where it is taking him. This is when good ‘ole Dan noticed a rabbit, a white domestic one sitting under a bush. He then thought that maybe the dog wanted him to save the bunny; he grabs it and the dog follows him to his car.

When Dan is established in his own comfort, he named the Dog Highway and the rabbit Interstate. Dan then took the two to the local rescue wherein they could take in Highway the dog where he was adopted from a shelter in Georgia. As for the rabbit, it’s still yearning to have a warm and lovely home as it gets stronger every day.

“Who knows how long he and Highway had survived on their own in those woods and what a lucky rabbit that Highway refused to abandon him when help finally arrived,” said by a spokesperson for the Humane Society of Summit County.

Below is a picture of Highway inside Dan’s truck, who was a seamless hero who chose not to abandon Interstate even if he had the chance to do so.
