 Baking soda and water

Probably the most basic, the easiest, and cheapest way to clean everything is to match water up with baking soda. Just like cleaning and whitening your white sneakers, you can actually utilize this formula to get rid of unwanted scratches on your precious eye glasses.

The technique here is to dissolve one (1) tablespoon of baking soda to one (1) or one and a half (1/2) tablespoons of water. Dissolve the baking soda in the water solute and then use it to clean your glasses. After doing so, wipe it specifically with a microfiber cloth to ensure that the friction is smooth for it not to add to the dilemma.

Copper and Silver polish

Who said that silver and copper polish only works for themselves? As a matter of fact, people who regularly scratch their eye glasses have this as a back up whenever they need to restore or enhance their eye glasses.

You can purchase this in any hardware or you can order them online. Just spray a little bit of the polish to the lenses and rub it afterwards with a microfiber cloth to ensure the best results!

Toothpaste (non-abrasive)

Other than its main use of whitening our teeth, toothpaste can also have other uses. Some use it to take care of zits and pimples, others use it to clean off some parts of shoes But in this context, you can actually use it to eradicate the scratches on your eye glasses.

To use it, apply a small amount of it on your finger, just enough to cover half of the lens. Then, wipe it using clean tissue paper until the scratches wear off. This also works on deep scratches; the only difference is that, if the scratches are deep, you have to repeat the procedure three (3) to five (5) times.

If your eye glasses are plastic lenses, you can try cleaning the scratches off using clear nail polish. This will somehow cover up the scratches seen on the glasses. You don’t have to wipe the full lens using the nail polish. All you have to do is to dip a toothpick into the nail polish and carefully apply it onto the scratches.

NOTE: Ensure that the nail polish is not too thick so that it doesn’t dry out quickly. Once you apply it to the scratches, spread it all over the lens.

Vinegar and baking soda

As you may have known, this mixture is used to cleanse off windows. In addition, it’s also a good mix to clean off eye glasses with plastic lenses. It’s efficient, it’s easy, and it’s highly accessible – you don’t even have to buy it if you have the ingredients at home.

To create the concoction, mix one (1) tablespoon of baking soda with one (1) teaspoon of vinegar. Once that’s done, apply the mixture onto the scratches. Rinse with water, then wipe using soft tissue.

Tooth powder

If you’re trying to improve your teeth, then using tooth powder rather than regular toothpaste is something that you should be considering. In addition to that, it is also one agent used to enhance and eradicate the scratches off of your plastic glass lenses.

In order for you to achieve the best results, dilute the powder to water until its consistency becomes pasty and somewhat like a glue. Thoroughly apply it onto the scratches and remove it after 20 minutes using a microfiber cloth.
